Famalic’s denim brand Tiffosi reopened its store earlier this month in Lisbon’s Colombo Shopping Centre, one of the country’s most visited.
In a statement, the brand owned by businessman Antonio Vila Nova, who is also the owner of the Trofa Saúde group, revealed that it is a “new store concept” with a focus on environmental responsibility.
“We are working to develop products with sustainable processes and materials that ensure a better future,” the memo sent to newsrooms says.
“(…) We sought to minimize the use of decorative elements and opt for lightness and simplicity. The idea is to create a space that combines fashion and environmental responsibility in perfect harmony.
Remember that the Tiffosi brand, part of the Cofemel group, from Famalicão, was bought by the brothers Antonio and Beatriz Vila Nova in 2008, after they sold their stake in the Salsa brand, also specialized in “denim”, which ended up being bought by Sonae almost ten years later.
Antonio Vila Nova and Vila Nova Carneiro, from Lousado which owns Tifosi, are one of Portugal’s richest businessmen, ranked 34th on the Forbes list of Portuguese millionaires, with a fortune estimated at €400 million.
