In a point of order today, Felipe Sousa, who has criticized the regional secretary of health and civil protection, as JM reported here, announced that he intends to formalize, this week, the delivery of an ambulance to the regional government.
“We do not live worried about petty and often selfish political issues, but rather we live looking outward, at what surrounds us and how we can do and help. As proof of this position that distinguishes us from Dr. Pedro Ramos, I launch here a public offer, which I intend to formalize this week through a letter to the Ministry of Health, knowing that this government body has difficulties in transporting non-urgent cases due to lack of resources, I offer here, publicly, an ambulance that we have available and that can alleviate the difficulties that the Regional Government faces in this area,” expresses the President of the Santa Cruz City Council.
The “act of solidarity” towards the regional government “and through it towards the Madeiran population” will be formalized by the mayor. “I am just waiting for the response of Secretary Pedro Ramos to organize the delivery of the said ambulance,” he adds.
“For us, solidarity has no political colors or borders. We will see if Minister Pedro Ramos can see beyond his shadow.
