The OMD/CEMDBE newsletter will be published bi-monthly, which in each edition will analyze a “hot topic” and provide evidence-based clinical recommendation.
The “In Evidence” newsletter will be sent by email to all dentists and is part of a project carried out by the Dental Association and the Centre for Studies in Evidence-Based Dentistry (CEMDBE) of the University’s Faculty of Dentistry. The Lisbon report will be presented in the next few months, with the aim of providing dentists with the necessary tools to support clinical decision-making and combat health illiteracy.
In this context, and in parallel, various contents will be regularly published on the OMDTV channel, distributed under the titles “Vox Pop Evidence”, “Let’s talk about Evidence”, and “Popular Evidence”. Short videos will be released in “Evidência Vox Pop”, in which dentists answer questions from the perspective of the user of Evidence-Based Dentistry (EBD), thus presenting a refutation of the CEMDBE.
In “Let’s Talk Evidence” answers will be provided to questions aimed at improving clinical decision support. “Popular Evidence” focuses on dental patients who, through this content, can increase their literacy and demystify various topics related to oral health.
This project is a result of the existing protocol between OMD and CEMDBE, which was signed during the 31st OMD Congress.
