New addon called [OSBigversion] It has been detected on the Xiaomi OTA server. This new extension is for HyperOS versions. For example, if you are using HyperOS 1.0, this extension will be displayed as [OSBigversion] => 1.0. Or suppose you are using HyperOS 2.0, this extension will appear as [OSBigversion] => 2.0.
Previously there was no OSBigversion extension; instead, there was an extension [Bigversion] For major MIUI versions. This Bigversion extension identifies major MIUI versions. For example, if you are using MIUI 14, this will appear as "[bigversion] => 14". Xiaomi has been using this type of extension for years. Now a special "OSBigversion" extension is being used for HyperOS.
Additionally, HyperOS versions have build numbers starting with V816. MIUI was first released on 16.8.2010. Therefore, Xiaomi set the build number to V816. In fact, there are different situations regarding this build number.

Before the release of HyperOS 1.0, this new version carried the build number V15. This means that HyperOS 1.0 is a rebranded MIUI 15. There were speculations that Xiaomi was building a new OS, which is not true. Now, users don’t even realize that they are running MIUI 15.
HyperOS 2.0 is expected to be announced with the Xiaomi 15 series in October. The company usually announces a new UI with a major release and gradually starts rolling out the new update. All you have to do now is wait patiently for the HyperOS 2.0 release.
