Located in the heart of Switzerland, Hotel Null Stern offers a unique accommodation experience in an unusual setting: a gas station. The hotel’s concept, whose name means “zero stars” in German, reflects its simple and unique proposition, where “the only star is you.”
Unlike a traditional hotel room, the room offered by the Null Stern Service Station has no walls or doors. It is an open-air platform, separated from the cobblestone floor of the gas station by a simple structure that includes a bed, two bedside tables, and lamps. Guests can use the safe next to their bed to store their belongings during their stay.
Recently, content creator Clavero has become known for documenting his stay in this bizarre room. In a video posted on social media, he detailed his experience, revealing that he paid around €350 for the night. During the day, he and his companion were watched by curious tourists as they enjoyed their stay, and even had their photos taken.
The experience involved a meal shared in the bed where they would later sleep. As day turned to night, they changed clothes and did their nighttime routine on the street next to the gas station. At night, they had concerns about safety, especially when vehicles were approaching, knowing that they were vulnerable without the protection of a traditional room.
Null Stern Hotel isn’t limited to a gas station; it also has other locations, such as a space in the Swiss Alps, while maintaining the same outdoor accommodation concept.
