H25 years ago, Prince Edward and Sophia, Duke of Edinburgh, said yes at the altar, and since then, they have become one of the “model” couples for the British royal family.
On Wednesday, June 19, the couple celebrates their silver wedding anniversary, a date they marked with a special photo they posted on social media.
“We are so grateful for the many generous and loving messages we have received regarding our silver anniversary. To all those who are also celebrating a birthday, we wish you a special day,” the caption of the post read.
It is worth noting that Edward and Sophia have two children in common: Lady Louise Windsor, aged 20, and James, Earl of Wessex, aged 16.
