OpenAI recently introduced the world to the new evolution of its generative AI model, GPT-4o. The company, led by Sam Altaman, says it is the most powerful version of the model, and is even smarter and more capable of analyzing and describing the world around it. Hey The name of the model is derived from the word omnimodel, which is its ability to input and output original text, sound and vision. This system already has a competitor, Google’s Gemini 1.5 model, which was also introduced this week.
One of the most interesting aspects is the model’s ability to adapt to the conversation, and can be interrupted for playback if additional input is needed.. a OpenAI and Google have already demonstrated their potential in some experiments, even if there are still funny mistakes. But at least the voice sounds a lot more human, in a user-selectable intonation mode, even making the AI sing over something it sees around it.
Right now, GPT-4o doesn’t have a new sound. The update will come to all users in the coming weeks and the good news is that it will be free. a OpenAI says everyone now benefits from the free GPT-4 level model. But you need to check if you already have access to it.
See in the gallery how to access the form:
1 – Log in to the ChatGPT website as you always do (https://chatgpt.com/)
2 – Change the ChatGPT version to GPT-4o in the upper left corner. If your account has not yet received the update, you will only see the free GPT3.5 versions or the ability to subscribe to the Plus version and upgrade to GPT-4. You’re not required to sign up for the paid version, but from what we understand, these accounts have priority access to the new model in this launch phase.
3 – If you have access, in the selection menu, you will have access to the new form by default. In our experience, the premium account was already active in the new model. If you don’t have access yet, keep checking until you do.
4- In order to try out the new GPT-4o model, we asked him if he knew what GPT-4o was. His response was amusing, even though he was not familiar with the term.
