Alvaro Pacheco will file a criminal complaint against Vitoria de Guimarães club president, the 52-year-old announced on Wednesday.
This decision comes hours after Antonio Miguel Cardoso held a press conference in which he announced the coach’s resignation, in which he revealed more information.
The manager confirmed that the reason for the rupture was a meeting between Pacheco in Lisbon and representatives of a Brazilian club. Moreover, Antonio Miguel Cardoso said that Álvaro Pacheco held digital meetings with representatives of the Brazilian club, without permission from Vitoria, and that he contacted technicians who are part of the Guimarães structure to accompany him in the new project.
Now, Alvaro Pacheco has informed, in a statement, through his press office, that a “criminal complaint for defamation” will be filed against the president of the Guimarães logo.
“The lack of words has been an ongoing matter, but it has reached its most serious point today with Antonio Miguel Cardoso’s failure to tell the truth in all areas regarding everything related to Alvaro Pacheco’s departure from Vitoria,” the note read.
“For the values that he stands for, above all honor and respect, and even more so for the connection, dedication and commitment that he has always had with Vitoria Sports Club and its fans, Álvaro Pacheco is moving forward with this criminal complaint for defamation. The statement also adds that ‘it is about myself but “Also by Victorians who don’t deserve that whoever runs the institution doesn’t tell them the full truth of all the facts.”
Now, according to what can be learned from a source close to the coach, it has been agreed that Alvaro Pacheco will finish the season in Vitoria before heading to Brazil, where he will sign with Vasco da Gama.
But the situation has changed in the past few hours, and the coach feels forced to end it now, thus preventing him from leading the team against Aruka in the final round of the league, as he wished.
What Pacheco understands is that this decision was made so that he could not beat the record points set by Vitoria de Guimarães, which would happen if there was a victory in Saturday’s match in Arauca.
like More football Alvaro Pacheco reportedly has an agreement to sign with Vasco da Gama until December 2024.
