Prince Harry is traveling to the United Kingdom on Wednesday, May 8, but his wife will not be accompanying him. Royal experts told the Daily Mail on ‘Palace Confidential’ that Meghan Markle fears being called out on the street – as has happened to her in the past.
The Duke of Sussex will celebrate ten years of the Invictus Games – the charity tournament he chairs – at St Paul’s Cathedral in the English capital, but it has not been announced whether he will be accompanied by his father and stepmother. This event is via London.
Meghan Markle is unlikely to accompany him as she has bad memories of the place. In 2022, the couple visited England during Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee, but at the door of St. Paul’s Cathedral, the crowd split: many applauded the nobles, but others booed them, and there was even a woman. He refused to shake hands with the Duchess.
According to Richard Eden, Meghan, 42, doesn’t want to run the risk of seeing a repeat of the scene. Instead, she will fly from America to Nigeria to accompany Harry, 39, on an official visit to the African country.
