Caring for the well-being and health of the population as a whole was the starting point at the University of the South Pacific Law School, on Sunday (14/04) morning.
The traditional courtyard of Pátio das Arcadas was the scene of the “II Right to Health Walk” gathering. It is organized by the Health/Law Quadrilátero, which brings together the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculties of Medicine, Public Health and Law, and the Institute of Tropical Medicine.
After warming up, more than 150 registered students headed towards the College of Public Health, their arrival point. The ceremony was attended by principals of the relevant colleges covering the 5.7 km route.
Among them is Sanfran Director Professor Celso Campelungo. For him, such initiatives are essential to demonstrate that education, health and well-being go together and are key to keeping the population always active.
During the warm-ups for the start, they received guidance from the teams and did basic exercises for good walking.
The route was also monitored by USP University Security, under the command of Juscelino Tadeo França Bonesina, Service Supervisor of the University's Prevention and Protection Supervision Authority; And also by the security services and traffic agents at CET, who established a protection plan along the walkway.
