Porto B won this Monday afternoon at the end of the 28th round of the Second Division. During their visit to Academico di Viseu, Antonio Folha's men prevailed thanks to the efficiency of Wendel (0-2).
In the “Viriatos” stronghold, chances were rare in the first half, as only the home team was able to reach the opposite goal on one occasion.
After returning from the locker room, the young Dragons scored on their two best chances. Just before the hour mark, Wendel converted the penalty kick that opened the scoring. The striker ended a seven-match drought.
On the downside, Jorge Simao has revamped the midfield. However, it was the blue and white that doubled their advantage.
From 76 metres, and aided by Nigerian midfielder Marcus Abraham – who had been introduced five minutes earlier – Wendel took advantage of a defender's error to score twice. Having consolidated his position as the competition's second top scorer (15), he is only bettered by veteran Nene (23), from Avis Sade. Bruno Almeida from Santa Clara completes this podium with 12 goals.

Lacking inspiration, the home side were unable, at least, to pull one back, giving goalkeeper Diogo Fernandes a peaceful end to the afternoon.
At the final whistle, Wendel was unable to complete the hat-trick, and missed a penalty kick.
The return to victories raised Porto Pie to seventh place with 40 points, equal to Torrense (eighth). Antonio Folha's side scored in five straight rounds, for a total of 13 points, a streak surpassed only by Pacos de Ferreira (6th place), who collected 16 straight points.
After a difficult double year, with one win in 11 matches – seven defeats and three draws – Porto's young players are enjoying their best phase of the season. The ideal momentum for many of these players is the reception match against Oliverense (15th), scheduled for Sunday afternoon (3:30 pm), the Youth League Final Four.
In this competition, Porto's U19 team will face AC Milan in the semi-finals at 5pm on April 19 (Friday). The winner will face Olympiacos or Nantes on April 22. The final stage of the youth league will be held in the Swiss city of Nyon.
In turn, Academico di Viseu plays the sixth match in a row without achieving any victory. Thus, Vicens occupies tenth place with 38 points, equal to Mafra (38). In the next round, Jorge Simão's team visits Belenenses “Red Lantern” (18th place). The duel is scheduled to take place on Saturday morning (11am).
