On Thursday, Dutch police arrested a person for throwing a “flaming object” at the Israeli embassy in The Hague, in an incident that ended without casualties.
This was in a post on the company’s account on the social networking site
“We have arrested a suspect. There were no injuries,” police said, adding that a backpack was found in the area, which became “part of the investigation.”
For its part, the Israeli embassy confirmed the incident, stressing that “it is unacceptable for an attack of this kind to occur in the Netherlands.”
He added, “Fortunately, no one was injured. We are confident that the authorities will take all possible measures to prevent this type of attack.”
The Israeli diplomatic mission announced in a statement also published on the account of the social network
This incident comes amid increasing tensions due to the Israeli military attack on the Gaza Strip, following the October 7 attacks launched by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which killed about 1,200 people, in addition to 240 hostages.
Israeli retaliation, which took the form of a military attack, led to the deaths of some 32,000 Palestinians, as well as more than 420 in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
