The United Kingdom and Ireland officially announced on Wednesday (12) their joint candidacy to host the 2028 European Cup, and presented the stadiums they intend to use to host the matches if they win the dispute. UEFA also received an offer from the Turkish Football Federation, which is also interested in hosting the European Team Championship.

The United Kingdom proposes the use of stadiums throughout its territory. Without Old Trafford United and Anfield Liverpool on the list, the stadiums chosen in England were Wembley Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Etihad Stadium (City), St James' Park (Newcastle), Villa Park (Aston Villa) and Everton's new stadium. The other British nations entered the conflict with only one stadium each. The Principality Stadium in Cardiff was chosen to represent Wales, Hampden Park in Glasgow was chosen to represent Scotland, while Casement Park in Belfast was chosen to represent Northern Ireland. Ireland, which is not part of the UK but has joined the bid, has offered Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

A competitor to the United Kingdom and Ireland in the race to host the 2028 European Cup, Turkey has also formalized its intention to host the 2032 edition of the tournament.
