The Christmas Carol of the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism (DEGEIT) 2023, promoted by Professor Manuel O. Young Oliveira and master students from the University of Aveiro (UA), raised funds that enabled the purchase of a SMART TV that was presented to the local health unit of the Aveiro region. .

The birth ceremony took place on the morning of February 9, 2024, in the same local health unit.
DEGEIT provides a smart TV to the local health unit in the Aveiro region
The Board of Directors and its President, Margarida France, received this TV and another as a result of the fundraising efforts of the Association of Friends of the Hospital of Aveiro headed by João Sousa, also a professor at UA.
The handover ceremony also included two students who sang in the name of peace and solidarity.
The DEGEIT administration is grateful for the support of the UA students for the song “Imagine” by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, the support of the entire administration and Director Annabella Botelho, and the support of the Liga dos Amigos do Hospital de Aveiro, also as the opening of the local health unit of the Aveiro district for this type of solidarity action. “Well done – for the benefit of a more available society and where there is great mutual assistance between local institutions and people.”
