sFour people were arrested last Saturday for occupying a house in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, while its owner was being taken to the hospital.
The facts go back to the weekend, when the owner returned home after being released from the hospital several days later, according to the Ultima Hora newspaper.
When he arrived, he put the key in the door and realized he couldn't use it. He ended up ringing the doorbell. The door was opened by a woman who said she lived there with her family and had no intention of leaving. After an argument with the woman, he called the police.
At the scene, officers knocked on the door and questioned the woman, concluding that the lock on the main door had been changed. However, another key was in the owner's possession that fit other doors inside the house and several pieces of furniture that were locked.
Authorities also spoke to neighbors who confirmed what had happened in recent days and confirmed who owned the house.
Inside the house, detectives found large bags containing the victim’s personal belongings, such as a tablet, dishes, clothes, and a watch that one of the suspects was wearing at the time of his arrest.
The Spanish National Police arrested the four suspects who were at the scene.
