The measure announced by the local health unit of Baixo Alentejo, in a statement, is an integrated response organized by the ULSBA Board of Directors, with the aim of reducing the flow of patients in the emergency medical-surgical service of the José Joaquim Fernández Hospital.
The same source confirms that the open consultation, whether at the Beja Health Center or in the Alpha Beja Family Health Unit, targets all residents of the ULSBA coverage area, regardless of area of residence.
Furthermore, it also reveals that the following ULSBA health units will also be open, under an open consultation system for acute diseases:
- Algestrel Health Center, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Almodovar Health Center, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m - Cuba Health Center, Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Ferreira de Alentejo Health Center, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
- Mertola Health Center, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Ourik Health Center, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
ULSBA also confirms that the emergency services at the José Joaquim Fernandez Hospital, in Beja, and the sub-units in Mora and Castro Verde will operate at full capacity and without any restrictions, 24 hours a day.
ULSBA also appeals to users, in case of illness, to call Saúde 24 (808 242 424) or 112 in case of emergency, avoiding direct recourse to the hospital emergency service, taking into account the period of high rates of respiratory infections that we are currently experiencing and the pressure that We feel it in the Emergency Medical Surgical Service at Baja Hospital.
