To avoid this type of situation, one of the key points is to drink fluids. The medical recommendation is to consume at least 2.5 liters per day to avoid dehydration.
“This can be avoided by wearing hats, wearing filtered clothing, and even using sunscreen, which should be applied half an hour before exposure to the sun to allow enough time for it to be absorbed, and then repeat every two to three hours normally, during this period. Other precautions that must be taken include crowding and sharing personal belongings, such as towels, to avoid skin diseases and fungal proliferation.
“Sharing spaces and crowding, such as swimming pools and changing rooms, where microorganisms multiply, increases the incidence of skin diseases, especially with the multiplication of fungi. Therefore, sharing towels and walking barefoot in these environments should be avoided.”
Finally, Silvestre Sobrinho stressed that summer is one of the seasons that requires special care as temperatures rise.
