Vaccination teams travel to all Social Assistance Reference Centers (CRAS) in Boa Vista to vaccinate the target audience for the influenza vaccination campaign on days 4, 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The initiative comes within the Ministry of Health’s programs for the states of the northern region.
The campaign’s target audience consists of: children under the age of six; pregnant women. big; Postpartum women; Indian people; health professionals; teachers; People suffering from chronic diseases and people deprived of liberty. In the case of children who will receive the biological immune dose for the first time, there will be two doses, 30 days apart.
“It is essential that priority populations receive the influenza vaccine during the campaign period, as the Nordic region has different climatic conditions. The Ministry of Health has moved the campaign to the second half of the year so that the population is protected during rainy periods,” said Cristiani Villguera, municipal immunization coordinator.
Change strategy
Following a change in the Ministry of Health’s strategy for influenza vaccination in northern Brazil, vaccination is now taking place in all states of the region, always between November and December to meet the climatic characteristics of the Amazon region. The event runs until December 15 in Boa Vista.

– CRAS of Cauamé: days 4 and 5/12
– CRAS Pintolância: days 4 and 6/12
– CRAS Sao Francisco: 5th and 6th/12th
