HeyLeaders of a motorcycle club – also known as ‘motards’ – dedicated to combating bullying in northern France have been arrested on charges of threatening a school principal and his deputy.
According to the BBC, the president of the Black Shadow North club and his wife were questioned by police in the city of Ochelle, 65 kilometers from Lille. They allegedly threatened to put a school principal in the trunk of a car.
They both deny any criminal activity and will appear in court on Monday.
Members of this biker club, dedicated to combating bullying in schools, accuse authorities and school staff of not doing enough to tackle this type of harassment.
In this case, which culminated in the arrest of the motorcyclists, it all started with a confrontation between students in Ochil, last month, when the mother of a teenager claimed that her daughter was being bullied, which is what the authorities said, according to the BBC. And they couldn’t confirm.
However, the Black Shadow North WC president and his wife decided to take matters into their own hands, contacting the school in Ochil to demand sanctions against the alleged perpetrators.
The two men then allegedly threatened to return “with dozens of motorcyclists to put the manager in the trunk of the car and cross the Belgian border, due to his inaction,” prosecutors in the case said.
