OpenAI’s ChatGPT audio feature is now available to all users. What if you could replace it with Siri on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max? Well, this is possible through the new “Action Button” configuration, which replaces the existing mute button on the iPhone since its debut.

Prior to Wednesday's announcement that made voice access free for all ChatGPT users, linking this iOS shortcut to an action button would only result in an error, as voice access requires a subscription to ChatGPT+. Turn your action button into a ChatGPT voice assistant
To do this:
1. Access Settings on your iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max.
2. Swipe down and tap Action Button.
3. Now, swipe to the side to the “Shortcut” option.
4. Here, click “Choose Shortcut...”.
5. Scroll through the alphabetical list of applications and select “ChatGPT”.
6. On the next screen, simply tap on the shortcut on “Start Voice Chat” to associate that specific action with the button.
NB: Please note that you need to download the Shortcuts app on your iPhone if you haven't already.
Once configured, you can press the action button to start a ChatGPT audio session.
Users can choose from five different voices for their ChatGPT assistant – Ember, Sky, Breeze, Juniper, and Cove. You can then simply ask your questions directly to ChatGPT and hear their answers – just like Siri, But smarter.
It's worth noting that ChatGPT isn't the only app that supports the new functionality of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, as you can also use this button for other common tasks, like choosing a song, playing Shazam, calling someone, or creating a new note. And many, many more.
