Microsoft is confident that Copilot is the future and intends to add Bing Chat functionality powered by ChatGPT to all of its products and services. Windows 11 already has its own Copilot software, and Microsoft recently added it to Windows 10. However, that’s not all as the company wants all Windows users to experience it.
As you probably know, Copilot runs the best models from ChatGPT and Bing Chat, including Microsoft’s large and small language models. The tech giant hopes that whether you’re a regular user or an employee working in the IT sector, you might want to try Copilot on Windows via the taskbar or Microsoft Edge.
In a lengthy press release, Microsoft quietly highlighted what makes Copilot on Windows worth trying. For example, with Copilot, Microsoft says it can leverage generative AI experiences without sacrificing privacy.
The company emphasizes that Copilot on Windows is designed to effectively meet both requirements. For enterprise customers, Microsoft offers a “Managed Edition of Copilot” that allows organizations to enable AI capabilities for their employees without the risk of accidental disclosure of confidential or proprietary information.
Microsoft describes several benefits that Copilot brings to the Windows environment, including the ability to easily access information and services simply by typing in natural language or using voice commands.
Previously, Bing Chat could only be accessed through web browsers, but Copilot takes it everywhere, including Windows 10.
Microsoft argues that it may also want to try Copilot given its “creativity” with text and images. For example, you can use AI to create creative content, which can open up new revenue streams.
Greater integration into the operating system
Copilot on Windows 11 has some OS-level integration, while its Windows 10 version is just a web shell.
the site WindowsLatest Those who tried Copilot on Windows 10 said it’s basically a Bing Chat site opened via Microsoft Edge. So you can’t open apps, change settings, or do anything that makes it a genuine app.
