The neurons in your brain connect in complex ways, and deep learning attempts to mimic this idea. Instead of programming a computer with specific rules to do a task, such as image recognition, we teach the computer to learn on its own. We show him lots of pictures and tell him if they are right or wrong. As he sees more and more pictures, he gets better at recognizing them on his own, just as you learn to recognize pizza or hamburgers.

a: Data science is like asking a lot of questions and finding out the answers using information. It’s as if you are asking questions to understand the world around you.
Imagine that you have a box full of toys, and you want to know what your favorite toys are. To find out, you need to start choosing games and see which ones you like the most. So, you write the names of your favorite games in a notebook.
Data science does something similar, but on a larger scale. Instead of games, you have a lot of data, like information about what people buy, or how much it rains in different places, or how people feel about a movie. You can ask questions about this data, analyze the answers, and find patterns and useful information.
For example, you might ask: “What is the most popular movie this year?” And when you analyze box office data and movie ratings, you’ll find the answer.
Data science helps people make better decisions using information, just like you decide your favorite games. It’s like asking questions, exploring data, and learning new things about the world!
5. ELI5 neural network
a: Imagine that you have many colorful building blocks. Each block is a little “detective” that looks at part of the image and tries to guess what it is. Some blocks look at colors, others at shapes, and others at sizes.
Now, you have a complex picture that you want to understand. Instead of looking at the entire image, you break it down into smaller parts and give each block a portion. Each block says what it thinks its picture piece might be, such as “I see an ear” or “This is an eye.”
Then you take the answers from all the blocks and try to piece them together to understand the full picture. If most of the blocks say “I see ears” and “I see a nose,” you can guess it’s a picture of a face.
Sometimes you can get the blocks wrong, but the more you practice, the more accurate you will become. They modify their answers to get more and more correct.
A neural network is like having many of these building blocks working together to make sense of complex images or information. They divide up the work, make assumptions, and together help figure out what’s going on. It’s like a team of detectives working together to solve a mystery!
