Brazilian actress, singer and presenter Lolita Rodriguez died in the early hours of Sunday morning, November 5, at the age of 94. The news was published by the newspaper Rede Globo, which confirmed that she was hospitalized due to pneumonia.
The artist died in João Pessoa, the city where she lived with her daughter, Silvia Rodriguez, since 2005. The body will be cremated on Monday, in a special ceremony dedicated to family.
Silvia Gonçalves Rodriguez, known as Lolita, was born in Santos and was one of the pioneers in the history of Brazilian television. He participated in TV series such as “Sassaricando”, which was produced on the SIC channel, and “Viver a Vida”, his last project, which was broadcast in 2009.
In 2008, journalist Ileana Castro published book “Lolita Rodriguez”, a biography of the artist who had an unparalleled career in Brazilian television and theater. In the work, the actress and presenter is described as “A very simple and humble person.”
