Windows 11, despite many initial criticisms that it is a simple copy of Windows 10 with some makeup on top, has evolved in a very interesting way over the past few months. It is increasingly powerful, increasingly practical and, in fact, faster, smarter and more efficient.
Having said all this, the latest update to Windows 11 introduces a feature with some potential to change the way you use your computer on a daily basis.
Windows 11 has new features that let you write anywhere!
Therefore, Microsoft has decided to release a truly transformative new update for Windows 11, which is based on Windows Ink, i.e. the component that includes applications and features that rely on entering text using a stylus/stylus.
So, if you have a laptop with a touch screen, or a monitor with touch capabilities, you can now enter text into the text input box or form of any modern UI application, simply by writing over it with a pen. .
In addition to the ability to write anywhere, Windows Ink converts handwriting to text in Windows 11. This should be especially useful for students, who need to quickly but firmly take notes on slides or PDF files. Interestingly, there is also automatic text recognition with special characters, and even mathematics or chemistry input.
However, the update to Windows Ink is part of an insecure preview update that Microsoft released for Windows 11 (KB5031455). To get the update, simply go to Windows Update and check if an update is available.
First off, what do you think about the evolution of Windows 11 over the past two years or so? Is Microsoft doing well? Don’t forget that Windows 12 is scheduled to be released next year, with a lot of “smart” promises.
