The 14th edition of the Summer Course, a traditional activity of the INCA Oncology Postgraduate Programme, will be held from January 22 to February 2, 2024. The course is aimed at undergraduate students in the fields of biological sciences and health and is an opportunity to bring this audience closer to research activities. Registration is free and can be done from October 16 to 23. There are 40 personal places for students from any state in Brazil.
The theoretical lessons will be broadcast on INCA’s YouTube channel, with no limits on the number of participants. However, only the 40 selected will receive certificates. Notice detailing the selection process is now available.
The course will cover various topics on the epidemiological, clinical and genetic aspects of cancer. “We are preparing a very modern program on cancer research, seeking to share the foundation’s knowledge and attract young talent,” explains Patricia Busic, researcher at the institute and member of the organizing committee of the course.
The program is divided into a theoretical phase and a practical experimental phase. The lessons are taught by the institute’s students and researchers. “It is an opportunity to present the lines of research developed at INCA to undergraduate students from public and private universities throughout Brazil,” adds researcher Mariana Burrone, another member of the organizing committee.
Summer session classes will be held Monday through Friday, full time. The program includes theoretical lectures in the morning and practical activities in the afternoon.
