As part of the celebrations of World Mental Health Day, Baja is preparing to celebrate “Mental Health Days” under the slogan “Mental health is a universal human right,” according to the organization, noting that the initiative will be launched over a period of 10 days on October 31st. .
This is a joint initiative between partners Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Beja, the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), the City Council, Associação ARIS da Planície, Projeto Com Vida and Companhia do Sueste.
“Mental Health Days” is “a commitment by the city of Beja to promote awareness and the importance of mental health as a basic right for all citizens. Through various activities targeting all age groups, we seek to raise awareness of the municipal community about this vital topic. The program will include a series of diverse activities, such as conferences, workshops, exhibitions and other initiatives aimed at addressing different aspects of mental health and providing the necessary tools to care for and promote it,” read the document sent to the Voz da Planície editorial team.
It is also said that the “Mental Health Days” in Beja will be “an opportunity for our community to participate and learn more about this very important topic”, enhancing the planned initiatives.
The first will take place on the 10th of this month, in the building of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Beja, and consists of the opening of the exhibition called “Revelação”.
