The new coach of the Brazilian national team, Fernando Diniz, this afternoon, Saturday (23), summoned the 23 players who must play two matches in the South American qualifiers for the World Cup. Among those joining is striker Vinicius Junior, who plays for Real Madrid.
In addition to Vinicius, who returned after recovering from injury, Flamengo player Gerson was also called up for the matches against Venezuela and Uruguay scheduled for October 12-17. Lucas Paqueta, who is currently being investigated for a sports betting scheme in the UK, has been disqualified.
