The Ministry of Health will join the unified national competition. The measure is an initiative proposed by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) to other federal government agencies, following the loss of 73,000 employees over the past six years. For health, 220 vacancies for technical positions have been announced. The notice is scheduled to be published on December 20, 2023 and the test must be conducted on February 25, 2024.
The unified model speeds up the server hiring process. The aim is to centralize competitions for the appointment and selection of federal public servants to already authorized vacancies in public bodies and entities, as well as to democratize access to opportunities, while decentralizing the application of exams.
General Coordinator of Personnel Management at the Ministry of Health, Etel Matilo, stressed that the Ministry’s joining will be important “to increase equity in the development of public health policies, by involving people from different regions and realities in the choice.” In the field of health, the new staff will be appointed to the departments of Health and Environmental Surveillance (SVSA), Science, Technology, Innovation and Health Park (SECTICS), Specialized Healthcare (SAES) and Primary Health Care (SAPS).
According to MGI, among the advantages of the new model are the rationalization of costs, processes and results, the unification of competition and access standards, the promotion of fairer, more democratic and inclusive competition, and the establishment of rules for a periodic selection model. Furthermore, each candidate will pay only one registration fee, making participation in the competitions affordable.
