Vasco da Gama’s shirt now has the branding of travel insurance company Intermac printed on it. Founded in Rio de Janeiro, the company is the new sponsor of FC Rio de Janeiro, one of the most traditional and popular clubs in Brazilian football.
Intermac’s CEO, Eduardo Aoki, is excited about the results the partnership can bring to the company, which is why he went to the Engenhão Stadium, in Rio, last weekend, to celebrate the agreement (and it was hot: Vasco 4×2 in Fluminense).
This is not the first club sponsored by Intermac. The company adopted an aggressive marketing approach in sports by investing, in addition to Vasco, in Argentinos Juniors, of the Argentine Primera Division, and in the club Niterói Vole, among others that it already had along the way. The contract with Vasco, according to Aoki, extends until the end of the 2024 season. The Intermac symbol is located in the upper right side of the shirt.
“We are very happy to celebrate this partnership with Gigante da Colina. We will take travel agents to Vasco da Gama matches throughout Brazil, as well as enhancing experiences through visits to the club’s CT Stadium and Sao Januario Stadium,” Aoki promised.
In Vasco’s next match, Thursday (21), against Coritiba, Vasco players will play with the new sponsorship. This will be the official debut of the partnership.
