If all goes as planned, Apple should launch the iPhone 15 on September 12. A company event has been scheduled, although all the details of the new device are already known.
However, some sources are now leaving out details that may make some consumers choose to wait a little longer. This is because instead of betting on the iPhone 15, waiting for the iPhone 16 may have some advantages.
According to the portal electricalSome sources close to Apple indicate that the company is preparing to make big changes to the iPhone 16 screen. It should use a new MLA AMOLED panel, which is supposed to provide improvements in terms of brightness and color quality.
MLA technology has previously been applied to panels used in LG TVs, which have seen 60% improvements in brightness, with viewing angles increased by 30%. So, if the same trend applies to smartphones, the future iPhone 16 could have vastly superior displays, which could be a better option for those looking for such quality.
However, using MLA panels will also be more expensive. This could lead to higher production costs for future Apple devices, and therefore more expensive for consumers.
Considering that these models are scheduled to be released only in 2024, a lot can still change in the company’s plans.
