WhatsApp has updated and made new features available to users in Brazil. It is now possible to share images in high definition. Privacy check and option to mute unknown calls are also available.
There is also the ability to send video messages. Moreover, the conversation with your own number (notepad) is another novelty.
See below how to use the new features:
* How to use HD images?
To send a high definition image via WhatsApp, just choose the file and select the “HD” button on the screen along with the other editing features of the app. If the code is disabled, the image will be sent in what the app calls “Default Quality”.
According to Meta, the company behind the messaging app, the high-resolution images will still be slightly compressed to make sure sending and receiving is still fast.
For example, if you receive an image in HD, you can choose, on a case-by-case basis, whether to keep the standard version (with a lower quality) or upgrade it to HD.
How do you silence strangers’ calls?
– In the upper right corner of the main screen, click on the three dots;
– Then click “Settings” and then “Privacy”;
– Select “Mute Unknown People”.
The feature was created for more privacy and control over your incoming calls. Automatically helps exclude spam, fraud and calls from unknown people for added protection.
* How to use Privacy Checkup?
– In the upper right corner of the main screen, click on the three dots;
– Then click “Settings” and then “Privacy”;
– Click on “Privacy Check”.
Privacy Checkup aims to inform everyone about the app’s protection options.
The “Start verification” option in the privacy settings will take you through several layers of privacy that make your messages, calls, and personal information more secure.
* How to send video messages on WhatsApp?
– open a WhatsApp conversation;
– Then press the voice message button to switch to the video;
– Press and hold to record or swipe up to lock and record hands-free.
WhatsApp states that it will automatically play videos in silent mode when you open them in a conversation. And when you press it, the sound will be activated.
