In the The main event On SmackDown Friday, Edge faced off and defeated Sheamus in what might be his last match… in Toronto.
WWE promoted the show yesterday in celebration of Edge’s 25-year career, but after it was reported that he only had one more match left on his contract, speculation began about his future.
After defeating the Celtic Warrior and receiving a standing ovation from the fans, the Star Ratings took the microphone and left his future open.
I don’t know what the future holds for me, I really don’t. I have to sit at home this week and talk to my family and figure out what they want me to do. But what can I say Toronto, thank you!
All I can say is that this is the last [combate] in front of you [fãs de Toronto]. I don’t think I can make another full trip and come back here again to fight.
I’m just being honest with you, but don’t get discouraged because… what an experience you all have given me!
I will never forget. I will never forget. When I’m 84 and don’t remember much, I’m sure I will. Thanks!
And so Edge seems to confirm that this was his last fight in Toronto or Canada, but something else could happen in the coming weeks.
