The Physiotherapy Center at Júlio Hartman State Hospital (HEJH), in Esperantina, set an attendance record in June, when 2,411 patients used the services in the unit. The number of attendees represented a growth of 21.64% compared to the same period in 2022.
Among the disorders treated by the center are those classified as musculoskeletal disorders, in addition to urgent and emergency care, the use of ventilator-equipped devices for the treatment of heart and respiratory disorders, and pre and postpartum care that occurs in the unit.
The center works with ten physiotherapists who take turns in the activities that take place in the health unit.
“Our goal is always to provide the best care, and therefore, all efforts of this administration have been focused on providing decent treatment from the moment a patient and companion enter the unit and remain under our care until they leave,” said General Vilma Batista, hospital director.
The supervisor of the Department of Medium and High Complexity Network of the State Ministry of Health, Dirceu Campêlo, celebrated the results presented by the center, which was a record number of visits in 2023.
“We already have the survey for July and again there was an increase in the number of consultations in this year 2023, with 2,705 procedures performed with 274 patients attending the centre. We can see the importance of the service with these findings, as it is a critical step in the rehabilitation process for some of our patients,” the moderator highlights.
