As per tradition, Sony will soon unveil a more elegant version of its latest console. In question, the PlayStation 5 Slim has already been used several times with the means connected to the branch, which is supposed to be presented later this year.
So, naturally, we recently came across an image that allegedly depicts the next console from the Japanese company. Image showing the minor changes the PS5 Slim has to offer.
The PlayStation 5 Slim should be presented at the end of 2023
This image was sourced from the A9VG forums, but it quickly went viral on Twitter thanks to user Andrew Marmo. Apparently, the image was taken from a video and, unfortunately, does not fully depict the next console.
In fact, we only see the top half of the console, and at first glance, the differences from the regular PS5 will be few. However, it is an image that confirms the previous rumors about the design of this console.
According to them, the new PS5 Slim will be 5cm smaller and not much thinner than the regular version. It will have cutouts in the center of the side panels that are supposed to have better ventilation.
The now-shared image effectively shows a cutout in the center of the console, however, it doesn’t allow us to accurately assess just how small and thinner it is compared to the regular PlayStation 5. This means we have a familiar image when looking at the most recent post.
Rumors also suggest for the PlayStation 5 Slim that the disc player slot will be less curved, giving it an odd look. It will have two USB-C ports on the front and a “dumb” pattern on the back.
If this is indeed the first real image of the new PS5 Slim, only time can dispel that doubt. There is no doubt about the existence of the PlayStation 5 Slim, including Microsoft, which announced its unveiling soon.
According to rumors, the PS5 Slim will be unveiled later this year and hit stores for €399. If all of this is true, it won’t be long before more information is released about Sony’s new console.
