Tesla will open the first unit of the new V4 superchargers with a power of 350 kW in the United Kingdom, which allows it to recover 185 km of autonomy in ten minutes. The new stations can be used by other non-Tesla electric vehicles and also have a contactless payment terminal.
Tesla has confirmed that the new V4 superchargers will have 350 kW of charging power instead of the 250 kW of the current V3 superchargers. The official announcement was made during a ceremony to set up a charging station in Swindon, England.
A brand It took the opportunity to disseminate images of charging stations and information about the universality of charging units and their availability to users of electric vehicles. As a result, non-Tesla electric vehicle owners can also use V4 superchargers.
New equipment guarantees fast loading, making operation more convenient for those who have to cover long distances. With an increase in power, electric vehicles can restore autonomy of up to 185 kilometers in five minutes.

The new charging technology is part of Tesla’s strategy to expand its charging network and make it easier to use an electric vehicle.
With a power of 350 kW, Tesla guarantees that the electric vehicles can achieve autonomy of up to 2230 kilometers on a one-hour charge, or 370 kilometers in just ten minutes.
To achieve the maximum power of 350 kW, the battery must be in preconditioning mode and the state of charge must be between 5% and 30%. Once these criteria are met, the vehicle will receive full power before reducing when approaching 100% to preserve battery life. Tesla wants to introduce chargers with more than 350 kW of power.
