Santos begins vaccinating older people over the age of 65 against COVID-19
Santos continues its vaccination against the new Coronavirus and influenza this weekend. On Sunday (18), vaccinations will be available at Policlínica Nova Cintra (Rua José Ozéas Barbosa s / nº), from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The first dose of the covid-19 vaccine is for people 67 years of age or older. The second is available for elderly people 69 years of age or older who have taken the first dose by March 27. On the other hand, anti-influenza doses are aimed at health professionals, children over six months of age and under six years of age, pregnant women and women who have recently given birth (women who have given birth to a child in the last 45 days).

To take the first dose of the vaccine against covid-19, it is necessary to bring an ID with photo and proof of residency in Santos and CPF. For the second dose of CoronaVac, the patient must bring a vaccination card, proof of residency in Santos, and photo ID.
In order to receive the influenza vaccine, a citizen must present proof of residency in Santos and a vaccination card, if any. A pregnant woman must take an antenatal care card and a woman after childbirth, that is, a document proving the pregnancy that occurred (the birth certificate of the child, the card of the pregnant woman, the document of the hospital where the birth took place, for example).
Hopes
This Saturday, in Santos, 532 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, while 112 people were protected from influenza. It was a day full of hope and relief for many people, like Anna Glucia Ambaro, the 68-year-old attorney who went to take the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 at Club Atlético Santa Cecilia. “I think I would be more relaxed to receive my children at home. Previously, they were very worried about my health. We would not meet each other for weeks. I think now we can see each other at least once a week.”
Marilene Vilace da Silva, 75, went to take a second dose of CoronaVac and also said the vaccine brought her closer to her family. “I will feel more secure.”
The flu vaccine has also been a source of joy for psychologist Biancha Miniguen Pereira. “Everyone in the health field should always be on the safe side. Even more so, I work with the public.”
