In the last match of the day in the Taça da Liga, Portimonense received and Estrela da Amadora won by 3-1after 90 minutes in which the Algarve team showed other arguments to be happy after the final whistle.
In a first half balanced with chances for both groups, it was the home team that opened the scoring, through Rildo Filho, who successfully converted a penalty kick taken by Miguel López.
Estrella tried to fight back and was very close on a few occasions, but could not find a way into the opposite goal, which is now being defended by Vinicius, a goalkeeper signed this summer.
The second 45 minutes began with Paolo Sergio pulling his lines, as a result of the entry of another defender, which made the outsiders lead the meeting for a few moments. Thus, Sergio Vieira’s men reached par after 57 minutes, with Ronaldo Tavares scoring the goal.
However, the nothingness would not last for long, as Rony Carrillo also got a taste of the foot, after a shot from outside the area by Sylvester Gasper (watch out for that player…) hit the post.
The Portimonense were uneventful and extended the advantage through their captain, Carlinhos, who capitalized maximum penalty to make the score 3-1, a score that checked to the last.
