Today’s Rio vaccines are public school teachers 55 or older

Today (17) the city of Rio de Janeiro will begin vaccinating education professionals who are active in the public units of the Basic Education Network located in the capital. This Saturday, only those 55 and older can get the vaccine.

This includes professionals who work in the Municipal Education Secretariat, the State Education Secretariat, the Technical Schools Support Foundation (Faetec), the Rio de Janeiro State University College of Application and in federal institutions.

To receive the vaccine, these professionals must present an official ID card with a photo and the last two salary checks. The Municipal Health Administration advises those who do not have a salary in the name of the school unit or any other way to prove their performance in school to submit a statement from the educational institution and appear to have been vaccinated on April 24th. Education professionals will be vaccinated next Saturday, when those 50 and over will be vaccinated.

The city of Rio’s vaccination schedule also states that people of any occupational group age 62 or older, people who must receive the second dose of the vaccine, and active health professionals 50 years of age or older can be vaccinated on Saturday.

Next week, the Rio City Council program will reach all age groups of the city’s elderly population, with the first dose applied to people between the ages of 60 and 61 between the next Monday and Saturday.

The following week, which begins April 26, vaccination will begin for priority groups under the age of 60, which include: People with comorbidities Or permanent disabilities, active health, education, public safety, and urban cleaning professionals.
