Saving the animal had become “unbearable” and had already endangered the military involved in the mission
Colombian military forces have stopped searching for Wilson, the trail dog who helped find children in the Amazon. Notícias Caracol newspaper.
General Pedro Sanchez revealed that the search was called off after nearly 20 days in the Guaviare jungle and rescue of the animal became “unlikely”.
The official added, “We have used absolutely all our resources, sparing no effort, using all our human and technological capabilities, and putting food in the places where the troops stopped, which endangers our forces.”
In Operation “Let’s go for Wilson”, 70 men were involved in the woods and 50 on logistical missions, as well as bitches in heat used to get Wilson’s attention, but without success.
