The Municipality of Divinópolis has informed, through the Municipal Health Secretariat (Simoza), that the next neighborhoods to receive the “smoke” will be Terra Azul, on Monday (19/6) and São Joao de Dios, on Tuesday (20/6). After fogging in these neighborhoods, this work will be done by analyzing the rates of dengue cases reported.
The decision takes into account the technical standards of the Ministry of Health, which defines the spatial application of ultra-low volume (UBV), either by means of a vehicle equipped with portable heat-aid equipment (auto sprayer) or motorized coastal pumps (knapsack smoker), used only to prevent transmission and control On outbreaks of epidemics or epidemics according to the number of notifications.
According to epidemiological monitoring figures, last week only 38 dengue cases were reported in the city, and at the highest peak this year, the notifications reached 1,008.
Semusa reassures residents and ensures that all other measures to combat sexually transmitted viruses, such as cleaning efforts, home inspections, water tank checks and social mobilization measures, continue to be implemented.
It is important to stress that the fight against dengue is the duty of the community as a whole, which throughout the year must maintain care, keep backyards clean and avoid containers where stagnant water accumulates.
