King Charles III led, for the first time, the “Trooping the Color” parade, an official ceremony marking the birthday of the head of the United Kingdom.
The monarch appeared in red uniform, on horseback – to honor and remember his mother, Queen Elizabeth II – and was greeted by dozens of soldiers and around eight thousand spectators. Close behind were eldest son Prince William and his two siblings, Princess Anne and Duke Edward.
Queen Camilla and Princess Kate traveled in a carriage with George, Charlotte and Louis.

“Trooping the Color” is an annual event organized since 1760, usually held in June to take advantage of the good weather experienced in the British capital. Carlos III’s official birthday is November 14, making him 75 years old.
