As the sustainable agenda acquires more importance, new businesses also emerge with a focus on that agenda. This is the case of Systemiq, a consulting firm focused on projects with environmental and social impact, corporate consolidation, public policies and entrepreneurship.
Systemiq was established in 2016 in the United Kingdom, and one of its main areas of activity is a UK government funded project to conserve tropical forests, Partnership Forests (P4F) with a focus on bioeconomics. “We have a great commitment to the world’s tropical forests. Whether in the Amazon or Indonesia, it is imperative to find a way to develop the economic potential of production chains in the region,” says Pedro Guimaraes, Partner and General Manager of Systemiq in Latin America.
In NegNews on Wednesday (14), the CEO highlights Brazilian projects targeting the carbon market, an area where, according to him, the country has great potential to be one of the world leaders. “Brazil can account for 50% of a global market of 50 billion USD.”
Systemiq is also involved in projects to use clean energy, such as jointly developing biofuels with a British startup. Zero Avia. The consulting firm is also involved in initiatives aimed at protecting the circular coral economy and reducing plastic use.
