Russia condemns another attack on Belgorod. According to the governor of the region bordering Ukraine, two people died and two others were injured. Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky launched a new challenge to the President of Brazil to visit Ukraine.
The complaint comes from the governor of Belgorod, who said other civilians have died in the border region between Russia and Ukraine. Two other people were reportedly injured as a result of a series of attacks on Russian soil, for which Ukraine did not claim responsibility, prompting residents to flee further into Russia from the conflict.
The Wagner Group threatens
In another devastating interview, the head of Wagner’s mercenary group threatened to transfer the soldiers he is now withdrawing from the Bakhmut region to make room for the regular forces of the Russian army and station them in Belgorod.
Zelensky and Lula da Silva
Volodymyr Zelensky denied refusing to meet Lula da Silva at the G7 summit in Japan.
Ukraine’s deputy defense minister admitted that recent Russian attacks on the capital were intended to delay counter-attack plans, but that Kiev’s effective air defenses minimized the damage. The governor also said that Ukraine is not ready to enter into any negotiations involving the loss of territory.
