a Portuguese League Against Leukemia (APCL), in association with International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), on June 17, will organize another symposium on multiple myeloma. The session will take place at the Lumen Hotel & The Lisbon Light Show, in Lisbon, starting at 9:15 am and ending at 5:45 pm. This symposium is aimed at patients, caregivers, nurses, physicians and other health professionals with an interest in this field. Admission is free, pre-registration is required.
Coordinated by Fernando Leal da Costa, Hematologist at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology (IPO) in Lisbon, the event includes a program of lectures by specialist physicians in the area, a presentation of a monograph on pathology and a round table on the same topic. The debate, which will be moderated by Fernando Leal da Costa, will include the participation of Cristina João, Hematologist, Rita Proto da Costa, Social Worker, Felipe Lopez, Multiple Myeloma Patient, and Lara Cuna, APCL Member. In this way, it will be possible to learn different points of view on multiple myeloma.
This is already the fourth symposium on multiple myeloma organized by APCL in partnership with the IMF. Through these actions, the two organizations intend to promote a space for sharing knowledge about multiple myeloma among people living with or dealing with the disease.
