The United Kingdom’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla thanked the thousands of citizens who took part in the coronation events this Monday, praising the “support and encouragement” they received.
“We thank everyone who attended at home, at parties and lunches outside or volunteered,” a statement released by Buckingham Palace said.
Carlos III and Camilla were crowned kings of the United Kingdom in a ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday, with thousands of people lining the streets.
“Knowing that we count on your support and encouragement and seeing your kindness expressed in so many ways was the best gift at the coronation,” it read.
They also promise to continue their dedication “Serving the People of England” And this Commonwealth.
Thousands of people took part in volunteer activities on Monday, promoted by Buckingham Palace, on a day declared a national holiday to commemorate the monarch’s accession to the throne.
