Most emotional coronation moment: William’s speech to Charles III “Pa”

The King, Queen, Princess Kate and their children, George and Charlotte, watched the speech from the Royal Box.

William gave a speech during the ceremony.

The opening of the scene celebrating the coronation of Charles III was in charge of the future king, the Prince of Wales. She was also responsible for one of the most emotional moments of the week. William opened hostilities with thanksgiving. He began by saying, “Thank you so much to everyone for making this night so special.” He went on to confirm that “it would be brief,” he was going to say a few words about his father. In contrast to Lionel Richie (the artist who would later sing), “It Won’t Take All Night”—a pun on “All Night Long,” one of the American singer’s most famous themes.

And it seemed that the future king took the opportunity to pay homage to Queen Elizabeth IIsaying, “Grandma is there, looking at us so affectionately, and like a very proud mother.”

William highlighted the devotion of Charles III, whom he affectionately addresses as ‘Pa’, to the common cause, saying: ‘At the heart of this festival is a simple message – service. My father’s first words as he walked down Westminster Abbey yesterday were a promise to serve. A promise to continue to serve.’ For more than 50 years, across the UK, and in Commonwealth countries around the world, we have been dedicated to serving others, both present and future generations, and those whose memory should not be overlooked.”

Nor did he forget to give examples of some of the causes the King cherished, such as environmental conservation “long before it became an everyday affair” and Charles III’s support for “dispossessed youth”. “My father has always recognized that people of all faiths, backgrounds and communities deserve to be celebrated and supported,” he added.

The Prince of Wales ended the speech – which lasted about three minutes – with heartfelt eulogies that left Charles III touched: “Dad, we are so proud of you. I also want to express my pride and gratitude for the millions of people who serve in the military, in the classroom, on the ward, and in the local communities. Your sense of duty and dedication to public service inspires us. And tonight we celebrate you too. I pledge to serve you all: King, Country, and Commonwealth. God save the king!”
