The dish set to represent the Grand Coronation Lunch is a French quiche with spinach, fava beans and tarragon, which was personally chosen by King Charles and Queen Camilla as a versatile and inexpensive dish. The food is “good for sharing”, can be served hot or cold and is not too complicated to prepare.
At 3pm, the gates of Windsor Castle will open to ticket holders for the Coronation Concert which starts at 7pm. The show will attract 20,000 visitors and will feature performances by world music icons. Confirmed performers include Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli and Lionel Richie.
The event will also include a special Coronation Choir performance by the UK’s “most exciting” community singers and amateur singers, including refugees and NHS (National Health Service) staff. Sign singers for the deaf will also be featured.
