The World Health Summit, organized by the European Commission and the Italian G20 Presidency, will take place on May 21, 2021 in Rome.
It will provide an opportunity for world leaders, heads of international and regional organizations and representatives of global health organizations to share lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, participants will develop and agree to a “Rome Declaration” with principles that should guide future cooperation in preventing and responding to global health crises. These principles should also serve as a basis for coordinating actions at the global, regional and national levels to strengthen health systems and improve preparedness capacities around the world.
