FHello Relatively recently, Pobre.tv, the largest piracy site in Portugal with thousands of movies and series freely available to users, was closed down. However, as on the day of its closure, there is still no explanation for this result.
As the successor to MrPiracy, Pobre.tv had a much higher membership than expected from the start for a site of this type. Note the TorrentFreak.com Pobre.tv was among the 25 most visited websites in Portugal, overtaking legitimate services such as Netflix or HBO.
Naturally, this caused the regulator, the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), to take action and demand that Cloudfare provide information to identify those responsible for the platform. Pobre.tv will have managed to move its operations to other “stations”, thus losing track of the platform.
There is no information about possible seizure of domains owned by Pobre.tv and the site is not included in the lists of websites blocked by the regulatory authorities. It is likely that ACE managed to identify the operators of Pobre.tv who, feeling the pressure, decided to voluntarily suspend the platform.
However, since there is no official information yet on this subject, there is nothing to indicate that the Pobre.tv platform and assets may not reappear in the near future.
