a Health Minister Manuel Pizarro met, on Tuesday morning, with his Brazilian counterpart, Necia Trindade Lima, in Lisbon.
According to a note posted on the National Health Service (SNS) website, the meeting aims to deepen topics of mutual interest and “opportunities for collaboration in the field of health, from an academic, scientific and economic point of view.”
“Government officials addressed the cooperation between Portugal and Brazil in the field of health and biomedical research, which has now been strengthened by the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the fields of economics, science and health with the Oswaldo Cruz-Fiocruz Foundation, and ways to activate it in the fields of medicine, medical devices and human resources.”And Read on page.
This agreement, as confirmed in the note on the SNS website, was formalized in the presence of the Prime Minister, Antonio Costa, and the Head of State of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
In addition to the ministers, the Minister of State for Health, Ricardo Mestre, and the President of Fiocruz, Mario Moreira, also attended the meeting.
The institution in question is working with several partners, including Portuguese institutions, to “create a group [sistema que relaciona dois ou mais computadores para que estes trabalhem de maneira conjunta no intuito de processar uma tarefa] Luso-Brazilian Health ”, a project based on bilateral, European, Ibero-American and Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries cooperation.
